Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Gi’s

Find Your Expert Fit. No Two Gis Are Alike.

We get it—sizing a BJJ gi can be confusing. Every brand has its own unique cut, and factors like fabric weight (from 300gsm to 700gsm) affect how each gi stretches and shrinks. That’s why getting the right size is crucial.

But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Each product page has its own specific size chart. Look for half-sizes like A1L or A2H? We call those out too. For absolute confidence, our team is always here to help—chat with us online, give us a call, or stop by the store.

Choosing the right shinguard

Measure accurately when choosing your shinguard, its essential to have the right size, to stop the shinguards being restrictive and too tight or too loose and slipping off the leg or catching on the floor.

Most shinguards will have measurements for the length of the shinbone and the length of the foot protector as seen here.

Shin guard size chart

For the optimum fit you want the toes poking out of the foot protector to avoid catching on the floor, and the top of the shin protector should fall just below the knee to promote flexibilty and maximise protection of the shin bone.

Clothing Size Charts

Size charts are a useful starting point, but they should always be taken with caution. Every brand can fit differently, and even small variations in design or material can affect how a product feels when you’re training. That’s why we strongly recommend calling our team for tailored guidance or, better yet, visiting our Aylesbury or Waterloo stores. Trying the gear on in person not only ensures the right fit but also gives you the chance to compare different options side by side and get advice from staff who know the products inside out.

Find Your Perfect Fit: How to Choose Your Boxing Glove Size

Man wearing Manto boxing gloves

Choosing the right boxing glove size is critical for your performance, safety, and comfort. The perfect fit protects your hands, maximizes your power, and ensures you’re training effectively. While your weight and hand size are key factors, your training purpose is the most important deciding factor.

Here’s a quick guide to what most boxers use:

Sparring (16oz): The gold standard for partner work. Heavier gloves like 16oz provide more padding, protecting both you and your training partner from impact.

Bag & Pad Work (12oz): A versatile weight for hitting the heavy bag and focus mitts. They offer a great balance of protection and feedback, allowing you to feel your punches without sacrificing safety.

Competition & Technical Training (10oz): Lighter gloves are often used in professional fights and are popular for speed and technique drills. Always check your gym’s rules first.

These are general guidelines. The ideal weight can vary based on your body weight, skill level, and personal preference.
