Fairtex BS1705 Muay Thai Shorts are a black pair built on the updated Fairtex pattern, with a slimmer leg, high side slits and a six-band waistband in place of the traditional eight. They are a clean, no-nonsense short for training, sparring and competition, and the kind of pair that fits in with whatever gloves and shin guards you already own.

Fairtex makes the BS1705 from micro satin, a lightweight polyester fabric that resists sweat, dries quickly and holds up over long use. The leg is tailored slimmer than traditional Fairtex sizing for better agility, but with more room than a kickboxing short so nothing pulls across the thigh. The six-band elastic waistband has an inner drawstring for adjustment. Handmade in Thailand, as with all our Fairtex Muay Thai shorts.

The Updated Fairtex Pattern

The BS1705 was one of the first Fairtex shorts to move to the slimmer cut and the six-band waistband, and the pattern has since carried across the range. The narrower leg looks tidier and keeps fabric out of the way on fast combinations, while the high slits mean nothing restricts a knee or a high kick.

Light, Secure and Easy to Live With

Micro satin dries fast between sessions and does not hold sweat, and the waistband stays flat through clinch work. Plain black means these go with any colour of Muay Thai gloves or shin guards, so they are an easy second or third pair for the bag.

Sizing Advice

Fairtex shorts run small against UK sizing. If you are between sizes, choose the larger. The drawstring will take in a slightly larger waist. The BS1705 is one of the few Fairtex shorts offered from XS upwards.
