Product Description

The Fairtex SP5 Shin Guards are built for fighters who demand comfort, protection, and performance in one streamlined design.
Whether you’re training Muay Thai, kickboxing, or MMA, these shin guards deliver top-tier support without compromise.
Fairtex has reworked traditional shin guard construction to remove pressure points and improve overall feel—making them a go-to choice for high-intensity training.
Globally favoured by athletes across all disciplines, Fairtex SP5 Shin Guards are an excellent choice.

Built with a no metal loop construction and an ergonomic design that closely follows the shape of your leg, these guards are approved for amateur competition and trusted by fighters worldwide.

Features Include:

  • Premium synthetic leather construction for durability and easy maintenance
  • Extended instep and shin coverage for full lower leg protection
  • Ergonomic, curved design for a secure and natural fit during sparring
  • High-density foam padding for shock absorption and impact dispersion
  • Double rear hook-and-loop straps for a locked-in feel with zero shifting
  • Lightweight build allows for unrestricted movement and speed
  • Trusted by Muay Thai and kickboxing athletes worldwide for performance and reliability

Shock-Absorbing Foam and Tough Outer Shell

The SP5 doesn’t just feel good—it protects.
Fairtex constructed these shin guards using their rugged Syntek synthetic leather and reinforced them with dual layers of high-impact foam.
This combo absorbs shocks efficiently and handles hard sparring without losing shape.

Extended padding along the sides and top of the shin offers even more coverage, helping you train harder while keeping your legs safe from stray strikes.

Fairtex SP5 Shin Guards Have a Secure Fit That Moves with You

Fairtex designed the SP5 to hug your leg closely for a more natural feel.
It sits flush against the shin and stays in place, so you don’t waste time adjusting between rounds.
It has a wider profile around the shin bone allowing greater protection around the side of the leg.
At the same time, the soft piping around the foot section prevents irritation and rubbing—especially around the toes and ankle.

A unique Double “F” silkscreen design clearly marks the left and right pads, so you can grab the right one without second guessing.
It’s a small touch, but it saves time and prevents confusion in the gym.

Anti-Slip Lining for Stability

Inside, the Fairtex SP5 Shin Guards feature a durable cotton stretch denim lining that grips your skin and helps prevent slipping.
Even during intense movement or sweaty sessions, these guards stay exactly where you need them.
That means more focus on your training and less distraction from gear shifting around.

Trusted Fairtex Quality, Competition-Ready

Fairtex has a long-standing reputation for creating reliable, high-performance gear trusted by fighters worldwide.
The SP5 Shin Guards carry that same quality, with added comfort features and thoughtful design tweaks that make a big difference during training.

Whether you’re preparing for competition or training several times a week,
the Fairtex SP5 Shin Guards give you comfort, stability, and protection in one pro-level package.

Innovative Stitch-Free System for Superior Comfort

Unlike most shin guards, the SP5 uses a stitch-free connection between the shin and foot sections.
This eliminates the uncomfortable seam that often presses into the top of the foot during movement.
As a result, you get less irritation and a more natural, distraction-free fit.

Fairtex also removed the traditional metal loop.
Because of this, the SP5 is approved for use in amateur competitions, giving you one less thing to worry about when gearing up for events.

Questions & Answers

  • Lee asked 9 Aug 2026
Hi im 5"6 around 80kg. My shin measured from just below the kneecap to the bend of my foot is about 34cm. Should i get the small or the medium?
    • Minotaur Team 13 Aug 2026
Hi Lee — thanks for taking the measurements, that makes it much easier. We'd go with the small. Fit is personal and everyone carries a guard slightly differently, but in our experience at your height and shin length the small is the right call. If you can get to our Aylesbury store you're very welcome to come in and try a few pairs on — the team will talk you through the options and you'll know straight away what feels right.
  • Priya K. asked 3 Apr 2026
are these ok for sparring or just for the bag?
    • Minotaur Team 4 Apr 2026
Great for both. The SP5 is our most popular sparring shin guard — the Syntek leather and layered foam give proper protection for partner work, while staying light enough for pad and bag rounds. A genuine all-rounder.
  • Jordan M. asked 14 Feb 2026
im 5ft9 and about 75kg what size shud i get?
    • Minotaur Team 15 Feb 2026
Hi Jordan — yes, the SP5s are true to size. At 5ft9 and 75kg a Medium will be spot on. They're contoured so they wrap nicely around the shin and instep without slipping. If you're ever between sizes, size up, as the foam beds in slightly with use.
