Hi Callum — yes, the FGV18 “Super Sparring” has extra knuckle padding over the FGV15, so it’s built for heavier sparring while still letting you grapple and clinch. If protecting your partners (and your own hands) is the priority, the FGV18 is the one.

These are sparring gloves rather than competition gloves, so they’re not intended for official MMA bouts (which require lighter comp gloves). For training, drilling and hard sparring, though, they’re excellent and built to last.
